Cesc to Move to Barcelona?

Spanish newspaper Sport reports that Cesc Fabregas is to be offered a new Arsenal contract. The paper goes on to say that the midfield schemer still has his heart set on a return to Barcelona.

The Sunday Mirror reported that Fabregas will be offered a new 30 million pound deal by Le Boss.

Sport suggest that Fabregas’ return to the Nou Camp is about more than just “purely economic issues.” He has made his desire clear to his representatives and is simply waiting for both clubs to sort out the transfer.

Barcelona are reportedly willing to pay 50 million Euros for Cesc but the Catalan club and the player hope a deal can be completed with the minimum of fuss.

Last week there were suggestions that Fabregas would move on following the defeat to Manchester United, the Gunners loss at Chelsea is likely to fuel the Fabregas leaving Arsenal claims even further.

Fellow reports in Spanish paper AS this morning confirm Real Madrid’s interest in signing the mid-fielder. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is realistic over the move and knows he is unlikely to lure the Arsenal captain to the Bernabeu.
