Old Gooner's thoughts on: Olympiacos vs Arsenal
Well one thing's for sure; Song and Ramsey didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Bartley was also very impressive...pity about that "mistake" which unluckily provided a great pass through a, by then, square defence. Fabianski was good all night and deserved better as well, as did Fishface. Whilst he added a year or so to the average age, he and Bartley provided a solid core to the defence which was more than a little dodgy on both flanks. Maybe all of Walcott, Vela and Jack the lad are suffering from lack of serious game time. For sure Walcott's self confidence seems non-existant at the moment...I think maybe he should also go out on loan (Barnet maybe?) to get a few goals/crosses under his belt. At this point in time he really seems a waste of a shirt. Don't know what happened to Watt that he wasn't on the bench but Sunu looked quite impressive from the little time he was given. All in all a disappointing result; 'twas a game we could have won or at least drawn and several of the kids will look back on it as an 'if only'. Gooner for 60 years...
