Old Gooner's thoughts on: Arsenal vs Man Utd
So, a sporting breakthrough was made with the first live 3-D sports broadcast. Cannot help but feel that it might have been more instructive to future generations of gooners to have featured one of the more exotic forms of VD rather than this particular football match. (If indeed it can be called a match.)
Mind you, this game in 3-D might well be used as an apprentice instruction manual on at least five subjects.
"How not to defend"
"How not to keep goal"
"How not to shoot"
"How selfishness can lose games"
"How to ball watch and forget watching the opposition"
And that I fear just about sums up the game. It leaves us with the brutal truth that in the two home games against the major contenders, we've lost both and conceded six goals. So we're far from being there, yet.
Let's see what the next week brings as, after this, our run-in is appreciably less difficult than both Chel$ki's and MFU's. But, with displays like this, even the tiny totts might fancy their chances.
