Davids Against Goliaths
The Sun reports that Cesc Fabregas admits his Arsenal side face a tall order against the Premier League's big guns - because they are too small.
Arsène Wenger's side was bulldozed by 6ft 2ins Didier Drogba in their 3-0 home defeat by Chelsea.
Gunners' youngsters were also swept aside in the Carling Cup at Manchester City. And 5ft 9ins Fabregas says his team were too small to cope with the Blues in the air - and statistics show they are the division's smallest side.
The team Wenger fielded against Stoke on had the shortest average height of any of the top flight clubs at just 171.1cm - or 5ft 10ins.
However, the Gunners did prove size does not always matter by beating Stoke - the second tallest team at 6ft 2ins per man - 2-0 at the Emirates.
But Fabregas admits they need more muscle and conceded boss Wenger needs to spend in January. He said: "Against Man City we had a lot of similar players, who like the ball into their feet. Sometimes you need a different kind of option.
"Against Chelsea we dominated the first 40 minutes without creating too much.
"Perhaps we had the same kind of problem and we were a little small to fight against them on crosses too.
"Overall I saw a Chelsea team that was normal but has probably the best striker in the world. Without Drogba, their team would not be the same."
