Fans urged to join online campaign to show their support for injured Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey
Following the shocking tackle on Saturday night, horrified fans have flooded unlucky Arsenal starlet Aaron Ramsey with ‘Get Well Soon’ wishes, and a website has opened its virtual doors so that as many fans as possible can show their support for the Welsh teenager, and help him get back to full fitness as soon as possible.
Ramsey suffered a double break to his tibia and fibula against Stoke on Saturday night, with the pictures and highlights deemed too grizzly to be re-played by ESPN. His injury rules him out action until September, and even then it’s not sure whether he will make a full recovery and be the same highly accomplished footballer who was about to hit the heights with Arsenal and internationally with Wales.
Fanmail website contacttheplayers.com wants to play its part in helping the young Arsenal star get over the injury, by getting as many fans as possible to send him a ‘get well soon’ message online. “It was an absolutely shocking injury, and he’ll need the support of the fans to get him through what must be a hellish time” said the website's Adam Brown.
“We’ve made it free for fans to send messages to Ramsey through the website, and want as many fans as possible, from all over the world, to send him their support, and hopefully spur him back to fitness. It will be a fantastic boost for Aaron to see so many fans rooting for him, wishing him well, and we’ll have the messages in his hand by Friday morning.”
